Wow, another month gone

I cannot even tell you what I've done since I last posted - I just don't know where the time's gone! I'll try to update everyone though:
We were told Laura had a cyst on her leg. She was referred to a specialist to have it removed but through some "trauma" to the area it erupted. Since then she's had 5 doctor appointments, a course of antibiotics and now a topical medical creme. The creme was prescribed last week by a Dermatologist who outlined he feels its a 'fungus'. On the good side, it now seems to be clearing up. All the 'fluid' which was creating the infection has now been removed and the area is now slightly pinkish (rather than full blown red). The four openings where the fluid drained have begun to heal over and we are now hoping with a few more days of creme will disappear completely. She will still be attending a follow up appointment with the Dermatologist in August to confirm nothing else needs to be done.
Laura completed grade 1.
We travelled to Belleville for a week at the end of June/ early July. Lots of fun. The girls loved their time there and are continuing to talk about going back.
We bought a new car! Here's my new baby:

Another month on the DT at the Scrapping Turtle. This board is oddles of fun and I have such a great team to work with! I'll post my reveal soon but will share my sneak now:

Mike is working hard at completing the shed. It now has walls and a roof. He's hoping to get the door installed later this week and then the shingles and siding.

We are heading to Brimley next weekend to camp. It will be our first camping trip of the year and we are truly looking forward to it.

Ok, I think that brings you up to date with most of the happenings recently.

Some more to share

These layouts are the remaining ones from my June DT kit from the Scrapping Turtle. Some really fun pastel papers in this line. I found some baby pictures of myself with mom which worked really well with these papers so thought I would get them done. The last one is an older picture of Jenna and I at Joan and Jack's when she was 4 months. Thought it was a fun picture but didn't really have a story so the layout is about her nickname.

Swimming lessons

The girls did great in the swimming lessons this term. Jenna has moved from Salamander to Sun Fish and Laura from Swim kids 2 to swim kids 3. Here are a few pictures of their final day:

A couple layouts to show you

I know its been awhile since I posted some so thought I would try to catch up and show you what I have completed over the past two weeks. A few more disney layouts:

And a few with some older photos. These are both pictures from last fall. I don't have many of the girls with grandma so want to make sure I scrap the pictures when I do get them.

Not what was expected

for sure! We went out to test drive some vehicles last night. Got the kids all settled at grandmas, thought it would be a perfect opportunity as you really can't test drive with kids. Of course, the dealerships in the Sault close at either 5:30 or 6pm on Friday nights. I was so disappointed! It did not even dawn on me they would not have the same hours on Fridays as they have on the other nights of the week. Oh well, we'll have to try again another night.

Some leftover

papers from my May kit at the Scrapping Turtle helped me create these layouts.

And also created this one with some new goodies I could help but break right into. Its a picture of my aunt and her dad. I think I will add some journalling to it but want to speak to my aunt first to determine what that'll be.

June sneak peek at the Turtle

A little late, I know, but with the computer issues I've been having I was not able to post my sneak peek before now. Thought I would share it today.
I was given the Little Yellow Bicycle Baby girl snugglebug line to work with this month. Very soft muted pastel colours. Lots of fun sparkle and glitter on the papers!
Here's my first layout. I know I've done these pictures before but I just love them so couldn't resist using them again with this line.
