June sneak peek at the Turtle

A little late, I know, but with the computer issues I've been having I was not able to post my sneak peek before now. Thought I would share it today.
I was given the Little Yellow Bicycle Baby girl snugglebug line to work with this month. Very soft muted pastel colours. Lots of fun sparkle and glitter on the papers!
Here's my first layout. I know I've done these pictures before but I just love them so couldn't resist using them again with this line.

Well, its been one of those weeks

We lost our computer 10 days ago. Everytime I tried to look for or open something, something else was missing. So, we closed it down and I went computer shopping this week.

We ended up buying a new system (and man is it fast!). They installed and transferred everything they could from the old system on Thursday and I was able to pick it up Friday. I have had to reinstall the programs we have run however as the material is there, just not the program to open/ work on something. I think I now have most of the programs we need installed (of course, there are two I cannot find the discs for) so I get to start playing on the net again.

The last two weeks have been busy too. Mom and dad were up visiting. Had a great time with them. While they were here, Mike and I took off for a few days down to Traverse City. Definitely nice to get away just us and the kids loved spending time with grandma and grandpa. Jenna had her last day of preschool on Friday and JK orientation on Thursday. Laura is now super busy with Soccer on Monday, T-ball on Tuesday and Thursday and Swimming on Wednesday nights. And Mike, well, he's busy working on building himself a new shed. He also decided to dig up the front yard a little and is putting in a retaining wall for a flower garden there. Needless to say, lots going on and time seems to be slipping away from me again.

Productive month

Its always funny to me that when I'm busier at work, I'm also busier/ more productive scrapping. Probably because I need the down time more to save my sanity. Here are a couple layouts I completed using the coordinations embossed cardstock. Fun stuff and definitely gives a different look to the pages. I'll definitely be using this more often.

DT reveal day!

Here are the other layouts for my first reveal with Scrapping Turtle. A couple from disney and one with some older photos. I think I will be adding a little journalling to that one eventually, just not sure what yet. Just love how versatile this line is! Great papers for sure.

A couple more layouts

For challenges at the Turtle. The first is a Layout tag and one of the few pictures I have of my father and his two sisters together.

The second was a sketch challenge. I decided to use brackets instead of circles as well as a larger picture. Otherwise, pretty true to form. Made some paper flowers with paper strips and my border punch.
I have some additional ones but will have to wait until after the reveal to share.

Product of the month

As part of my DT duties, I will be showcasing a Product of the Month. This month it is the Kiki Art fun tape. I received the Antologia Famila and was able to use it for some pictures of our Character breakfast. I used the tape as a type of stiching down the side of the pictures and on the letters in the title. Fun stuff!

Scrapping Turtle DT

YEAH!!!!!! I was offered a 9 month contract position with the Scrapping Turtle, as part of their design team. I am super excited by this opportunity and am humbled by the wonderful girls I am on the team with. It will certainly be a fun 9 months.

May is our first month and I received the new Fancy Pants line, My Family. Here is my sneak peek:

Mom gave me some older family photos when she was up in March. I am hoping to tackle some of them through the next few months. Here is the first one. A picture of my paternal grandparents celebrating 50 years of marriage. Something that is just so rare.
