On the road again

Tommorrow that is... so I thought I would share a few layouts I've been working on before I leave. I am heading to Belleville so I can pick up my girls. They have spent the last week at Grandma and Grandpas - wow, was that hard! I know they had an awesome time though so maybe they will be able to do it again (in another 7 years).
I completed this one for a sketch challenge. I love how it turned out and the sheer joy on Laura's face in this picture. I've been wanted to use this road show paper for awhile and decided these older pictures would fit perfectly with the rustic feel of the paper. The girls are both so little here - its hard to believe Jenna will be starting school in a week.

DT reveal

Here is my reveal for August! I just loved this line of paper and used every single scrap. I think Echo park will definitely top my list for the next time I need to restock.

While the girls are away

mommy gets to play! Here's what I did last night:

This one is called: la dolce vita (the good life). I just love the look of exhausted happiness on Jenna's face.

Did some photoshop work on this photo before having it printed. I think it turned out well. I wanted to get a few people out of the background so the picture is all about Jenna's joy.

We'll see what I can do tonight...

Product of the month

at the Scrapping Turtle is smooch. A fun vibrant ink based pigment which has lost of depth and glitter. It absolutely sparkles! I used rubon butterflies and coloured in the white areas with smooch. I then mixed water with the smooch and used it for a watercolour affect on the chipboard pieces. Here is the layout I completed:I couldn't scan it because of the butterflies popping off the page and the picture is definitely not the best because of the glare on the right.

August sneak peek

I received the wonderfully beautiful and fabulously fun Sweet Summertime line by Echo Park. It has such a fun bright summer feel I just couldn't resist scrapping this picture of Jenna:I wanted to keep the layout clean so used some of the journalling cards and a chipboard frame to create a hidden journalling pocket. Here's a picture of it:
